We care about your privacy and therefore gather as less data as necessary. We do not share a/o sell your data with or to third-party companies because spoly does not sell advertisements a/o data. Our app is all about creating and joining sport activities. Not about advertising products and services of other companies. This is the main reason why we collect as less data as necessary.
What data we collect
We collect your first name, last name, birthday, nationality, gender and email address to verify your identity and make other users feel more secure. Only if you share the following information on the spoly app, we also collect: your location, languages, quote, notes, profile photo, cover photo, favourite sports, favourite hotspots, activities joined, activities created and buddies to your profile.
Why we collect data
 We want to help you connect with others who play the same sport you do;  we want to know how many activities there are being created and joined through spoly worldwide. Our main reason is to create a more active world together – not digitally but physically – and the data we collect enhances our global impact.
The time we collect data
The data we collect will be in our database for the time you are using spoly, simply because we need to save your content, which enables you to keep using spoly in a safe and secure way.
Who we share data with
Basically the only Third Party we share your data with is our app development partner: Codemate Ltd. [a registered limited IT company in Finland]. We may share general statistics – such as the amount of buddies and activities per region – with foundations a/o governances, if so the names of these organizations will be mentioned on our web page: spoly.com.
When you access spoly through a mobile device, we may collect certain information automatically, including, but not limited to, your telephone number, the type of mobile device you use and hardware information, your mobile device unique ID, the IP address of your mobile device, your mobile operating system, and other information about your interactions with us, and other statistics [“Log Data”]. In addition, we may use third party services such as Google Play Console and iTunes Connect [Apple], that collect, monitor and analyze this type of information in order to increase our app’s functionality. These third party service providers have their own privacy policies addressing how they use such information.
We do not knowingly collect or solicit personal information from children under 13.
When you join or use our app, you agree to publicly share a basic amount of information, which may include your username, city location and profile picture.
Compliance with laws
The security of your Personal Information is important to us, but remember that no method of transmission over the Internet, or method of electronic storage is 100% secure/confidential. While we strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect your Personal Information, we cannot guarantee its absolute security. Security Measures: We use a variety of security measures, including encryption and authentication tools, to help protect your information. E.g. the spoly back-end API is behind SSL encryption [HTTPS]; user passwords are hashed in the database; authentication is made with token authentication [implemented from oAuth 2.0].
spoly automatically collects information within our app, stored by your device. We use a variety of methods to collect this information, including, but not limited to, collecting your device ID and location [“Collection Tools”].
Collecting your device ID is required for push notifications to work.
Turning location off/on
We may use and store information about your location, if you give us permission to do so. We use this information to enable “exploring activities near you” and to show other users where you are located. You can turn your location off or on at anytime.
You can edit or delete your account at anytime. spoly will keep information and content in our backup files and archives, for a maximum of three months, in case you change your mind or your account got hacked.
